Who am I?

Hi, I am a 18 year aspiring photographer from Launceston, Tasmania. I have been interested in photography for the past 10 years but only started studying it during college in an Art Production-Photography 3 class at Newstead College which enabled me to enhance my skills.

I didn't just wake up one day and decide that I wanted to be a photographer. My great grandfather was a photographer when I was growing up and he used to travel for hours on end to capture the perfect photo and wouldnt leave until he got it. My mum always told me that I had 'the eye' when it came to taking photos but I never really understood what she meant until the start of last year.

When my great grandfather passed, that was when I decided that photography was the one thing I was good at and that I could see myself doing. Most photographers out there have a certain 'type'of photography that they do. Some artists are into nature, modeling, scenic, portraits or sports photography. I'm a little differenet though, I don't just have ONE catagory that I stick to. I take photos of nature, sporting events, community events and anything in general. If I believe that i can look through the lens and capture a good image, that's what I do.
